Dustin's Bar Mitzvah! [Sep. 28th, 2010|11:37 pm]
British Indie Fans

wesley_1701

This community hasn't been updated in a bit, but I'm hoping it's still an active place. I'm posting two Dustin's Bar Mitzvah albums.

DBM has been posted on here before by my lovely friend Krisan, but that was back in 2006 and the files are long gone. She and I have since lost all our demos and rehearsals and everything else. The two albums I still have are:

Get Your Mood On (2006) -
hxxp://www.mediafire.com/?4kxdp45d4wuti5d

Dial M For Mitzvah (Japanese Release - 2005) -
hxxp://www.mediafire.com/?4kxdp45d4wuti5d

It's a bit of a long shot, and I'm not entirely sure it's allowed, but does anyone have the old demos? Their music is brilliant, but the albums are just over-produced. Their studio version of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is something I've been frantically looking for. If anyone else has any other DBM to share I'd greatly appreciate it and I'm sure everyone else on here would too.

Wesley

Hey guys, I know this is random but I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm American, but I'll be in London for a week in September and I want to catch a few shows, if possible. The only problem is I have no idea what bands are playing or where. Does anyone know a good ticketing/listing site for concerts and shows taking place in and around the London area? Or specific rock bars/pubs to check out? I tried ticketmaster UK but it's rubbish.

I'm open to any types of music, but rock bands in particular.

Thanks so much!

Anybody here into Esser? He's a great artist from the UK that I'm really getting into lately. He's got influences of Morrisey and The Streets and has great indie style. I think you guys will love his stuff!! Check him out!

This is his video for "Headlock" (my favorite track off the album):

Watch it here!

And here's the video for "I Love You" (another great song):

Watch it here!

You into it yet? Check Esser out on Myspace!

Francis Rodino has released a new album "Circles and Squares". It was produced by Steve Bush (Stereophonics) but it's closer to the likes of Snow Patrol or Counting Crows.

All the tracks from "Circles and Squares" are on Reverbnation.

What do people think? 'Burn' is going to be released as the first single.
